A primary functions of Unit Commissioners is to visit units and record the visits in UVTS. This class will demonstrate how to mine UVTS data to assess the standard of performance for unit visitation for your district, individual units and Unit Commissioners including how to determine the District JTE Gold standard for unit visitations. The class is directed toward administrative commissioners (ADCs, DCs, and ACCs).

This session introduces the participants to the thesis or project, discusses what constitutes a good thesis / research topic or a DCS project, and helps them select their general topic.

The only reason for having commissioners is to help units succeed. A Commissioner is first and foremost a friend to the unit. This course is intended to assist commissioners in ways to understand and strengthen their marriage and/or family relationships so that Scouting augments rather than detracts from the family and increases their personal happiness and tenure as a commissioner..
